Taiwan Mobile Unveils AI-Powered Smart Mobility Solutions to Drive Green Transportation
2025/05/09 | By EDNTaiwan Mobile has unveiled its latest 5G AIoT-powered “Taiwan Mobility” smart fleet solutions in Kaohsiung, introducing four major AI-based functions—real-time vehicle monitoring, geofencing alerts, fuel consumption prediction, and risk recognition—to support logistics, transportation, warehousing, and car rental industries in their transition toward intelligent, low-carbon operations.
The showcase attracted attention from Taiwan’s Minister of Digital Affairs Yien-Nung Huang and Deputy Minister Yi-Ching Lin, who engaged with Taiwan Mobile executives including CTO Jeff Chao, Consumer Business Group CBO Donny Lin, Enterprise Business Group CBO Bonnie Chu, and VP of Regulatory & Industry Affairs Jacqueline Chen.
“Platformization, digitalization, and sustainability are key to the evolution of vehicle connectivity,” said Bonnie Chu. “With our Telco+Tech strategy, we are forming an integrated 5G vehicle ecosystem, collaborating with partners like StarWing IoT and Syron Technology to deliver scalable, cloud-based, AI-enabled fleet solutions that are easy to deploy and manage.”
Taiwan Mobile reported a 95% year-on-year revenue increase in its connected vehicle services, reflecting rising demand for intelligent fleet management tools. Its “Fleet Master Plus” platform, co-developed with StarWing IoT, provides a comprehensive solution combining hardware, AI, and cloud technologies to help enterprises improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance safety.
Key features of the system include:
AI-Powered Video Monitoring: Real-time streaming from in-vehicle cameras, multi-vehicle monitoring, automatic alerts for speeding, idling, or loss of connection, and incident footage backup to the cloud.
Geofencing Alerts: Smart area restrictions to ensure effective oversight of large-scale fleets.
AI Fuel Prediction: Accurate forecasting to cut fuel usage and lower carbon emissions.
AI Risk Detection: Intelligent driver behavior analysis to reduce the likelihood of traffic accidents and improve road safety.
Consumer Business Group CBO Donny Lin noted that “Taiwan Mobility” combines charging infrastructure, vehicle connectivity, and in-car content to provide a seamless, user-centric mobility experience. Partnerships with USPACE and WeMo Scooter further enhance the offering, enabling tailored smart transportation scenarios that are both human- and environment-focused.
Taiwan Mobile continues to work closely with ecosystem partners to promote next-generation intelligent mobility and drive the sustainable transformation of the transportation industry.
